Dating can be scary, but if you’re a celebrity, there’s a whole other level of pressure that comes along with relationships. Singer, dancer, and Instagram model Jordyn Jones knows that feeling all too well, and now she’s telling J-14 exclusively even more details about her relationship with her current BF, Jordan Beau. Yes, they have the same first name. Yes, we kinda love it.
Of course, we couldn’t help but wonder whether or not Jordyn was nervous to share her new bae with the world. We mean, if you had 5.3 million followers on Instagram, wouldn’t you be a little worried to see people’s reactions? Well, turns out she was, but she also knew that some of her followers were already speculating.
“That’s like the only thing I ever worry about is just a public relationship,” Jordyn said. “Now I don’t at all, but you know, when you’re first posting it. I waited I think two or three days to post that we were dating. We started dating on the 31st of August. I don’t think I posted ’til like the 3rd or 4th of September. People already knew, but — if they already knew, at first I was like, then why am I going to post about it? People already know. But then I was like, I’m happy about it.”
Honestly, she has so much to be happy about, and we totally understand why she felt the need to share the news with her fans only a few short days after making it official.
The 18-year-old added, “It’s something that is now a part of my life, and I have to share every part of my life because I can’t keep anything from my fans! All my fans — I always say — just want the best for me and want to see me happy… so it’s like, whenever I’m happy, they’re happy.” So true!
So, now that we know why she revealed the news the way that she did, we bet you’re all wondering how the adorable pair got together in the first place! Luckily, Jordyn dished all about it, explaining that they met through a mutual friend.
“So his best friend Tanner Fox invited me and Destiny and Kelianne to the host one day to vlog,” she said. “… Jordan is Tanner’s roommate, so we met then. And we hung out like all month, every single day. And he lives in Temecula, so we would always be together in LA. And then we went to Texas together, starting like each other. And then it just happened.” How cute?!
Don’t worry, though. Like the rest of us, Jordyn also thinks it’s hilarious that the two just so happen to share the same name.
She said, “It’s super funny when we’re walking down the street — someone notices him, and they go, ‘Jordan!’ And I’m like, ‘OK cool, not me this time!'” LOL.
And, of course, what’s a couple without a ship name?
“My name is J-o-r-d-y-n. His is J-o-r-d-a-n, so our ship name is J-o-r-d-i-n. Just to be funny — I don’t know!” Jordyn joked.
