In a recent interview with GQ Australia, The Hunger Games actor opened up about his marriage to the “Malibu” singer, and guys, we’re seriously swooning. It’s fair to say that a lot of things he said made our hearts instantly melt, but the best part of the whole thing had to be when he revealed how many kids the couple plans on having.
“10, 15, maybe 20,” the 29-year-old joked.
NGL, that’s a bit more than we expected, so the adorable pair better get started! But other than that hilarious tidbit, The Last Song star addressed the rumors that are constantly being dredged up by the media, and how their friends and family sometimes even believe them.
“We’ve been fake married about a billion times,” Liam said. “I can’t tell you how many calls and texts I’ve got over the last five years from best friends — even from my parents sometimes — they’re like, ‘Did you get married? Is it real this time? Did you have a baby?'”
Well, now that they’re actually married, we’re pretty much waiting with bated breath for a pregnancy announcement. However, it’s important to remember that the couple first began dating nearly a decade ago, so clearly, they’re not the type to rush into anything. In fact, it wasn’t until they experienced the effects of California’s deadly wildfires in 2018 that they decided to make things official.
“I was 18 when I met Miley,” he said. “We really fell in love quickly and had a really strong connection from the beginning and I think in the back of my head I knew it was on the cards, but we weren’t planning to have a wedding anytime soon. Then just going through something this emotional with someone, it brings you closer and we felt like we’d lost a big part of our lives, so we wanted to make a new part of our lives. It was something really good coming out of a horrible situation. It was going to happen eventually, but I think this just sped it up a little bit.”
These days, it goes without saying that they’re one of our favorite couples in Hollywood. And after being together for so long, it’s clear their relationship is as real as they come. That said, we think babies are totally in the cards for these two — and hey, why stop at 20?
