ICYMI, Miley Cyrus just shut down rumors that she’s expecting a baby with her husband Liam Hemsworth in the absolute best way possible.
On January 16, reports surfaced that the 26-year-old pop star and the 29-year-old Hunger Games actor were expecting their first child together. Of course, we ship this couple so hard, so we’d be lying if we said we weren’t totally excited by the idea. However, once the former Disney star caught wind of the story, she was quick to shoot it down while also proving she knows what’s cool on the internet.
Along with a photo of an egg superimposed onto her stomach, the “Malibu” singer tweeted, “I am not ‘egg-xpecting’ but it’s ‘egg-celent’ to hear everyone is ‘so happy for us’… We’re happy for us too! ‘Egg-cited’ for this next chapter in our lives… Now can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg?’
If you’re not understanding the hilarious reference, Miley was poking fun at the fact that a photo of an egg recently beat out Kylie Jenner as the most liked Instagram photo ever, and seriously, we’re cracking up (pun intended)! Still, we totally think Miley and Liam should have babies ASAP. We mean, have you read the love letter she wrote her Last Song co-star for his 29th birthday? They’re so ~in love~!
Although these reports only turned out to be false rumors, Miley and Liam would be amazing parents. But remember, the lovebirds just tied the knot on December 23 of last year, which was only a few weeks ago. In other words, it’ll probably be a while before they decide to extend their fam beyond themselves and their pets. Plus, MiCy just dropped “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” and Liam has several movies in the works, so it’s safe to say these two are pretty busy.
Don’t worry, you guys, we know how excited you probably were when you read the reports, but just because they’re not adding to their adorable little family now doesn’t mean they won’t in the near future! And trust us, when the happy couple actually does have a bun in the oven, we’re sure it won’t be long before the news hits the web so fans can celebrate too!
