Well, it looks like it’s official. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are married after dating off and on for almost a decade. Yep, that’s right. The Hannah Montana alum just seemed to have confirmed their marriage on Wednesday, Dec. 26. And yes, we are completely freaking out. Cue “When I Look At You.”
The 26-year-old singer took to Instagram to share a series of black-and-white photos. “10 years later …..” she captioned one of the pics.
On Sunday, rumors swirled that Miley and Liam tied the knot when photos were posted by Cоnrad Carr, a friend of the “Party In The U.S.A.” singer. And while we couldn’t confirm for sure then, it seems pretty certain now. The photos showed the longtime couple all dressed up as a bride and groom, cutting what appeared to be a wedding cake.
During the romantic ceremony, Miley donned a fabulous off-the-shoulder gown, letting her with her blonde locks cascade down her back. Her bae Liam kept things casual in white Vans – with a suit and tie, of course. In one of the videos, there were even pink balloons that spelled out “Mr. & Mrs.” in clear view.
Ugh, OUR HEARTS. So how did these two get together in the first place? Well, it’s pretty cute. The couple met back in 2009 while working together on the set of The Last Song. They made made their public debut as a couple in 2010, and the rest is history. They did have some bumps in the road, as they split for a short time in 2013. But by the time 2016 rolled around, they were back in love and thriving more than ever. Both Liam and Miley agreed that even though they went their separate ways for a while, it’s what they needed.
Liam told GQ in 2016, “Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time – we both needed that.”
Ah, what a love story. Congrats to the husband and wife!
