Well guys, Liam Payne is officially a taken man. The One Direction singer was recently spotted holding hands with Maya Henry, and now, he can’t stop gushing over his new girlfriend.
When asked if he was in a relationship at the moment, he told KISS FM UK, “I am yeah, I am. I am very lucky. She is really great. I’m very happy right now.”
And the 26-year-old is definitely not afraid to show off their love. When the radio host asked the “Strip That Down” crooner if it’s hard to date while being in the spotlight, he explained, “No, it’s kind of got to the point with my life, where I’m like, screw this. It’s not worth my happiness.”
“If someone is going to take a picture, someone is going to do something,” he continued. “The difference is with her, she’s so relaxed that it helps me relax in a situation, rather than being somewhere, and talk about who is watching and what’s going on. People are going to watch whatever. What am I supposed to do? I can’t do anything about it now. It’s too late for that. It’s just been quite nice and just going out. I’ve managed to explore a lot more of London than I ever have actually my life, which has been quite fun. My life has been quite normal recently, which has been a break.”
So who is the lucky lady, you ask? Well, Maya is a 19-year-old model who’s worked with companies including Burberry, Bulgari and more. She’s also shot campaigns for a ton of magazines including Elle, Rollacoaster, Glamour, Galore, TMRW, Harpers Bazaar and others. And get this — Maya is actually a big 1D fan herself! Yep, there’s a picture of her with the boys from a 2015 meet and greet floating around the web, so she’s practically living all of our dreams.
“We’re fairly happy at the moment,” Liam also told Capital FM. “I’m just past the point of where I’m bothered or not. It’s not worth my happiness; I’d just rather go out and do what I want. I’ve got nothing to hide.”
Liam and Maya were actually photographed spending some time together back in August 2018, but when he was spotted packing on the PDA with model Cairo Dwek a few weeks later, we all assumed that their relationship had fizzled out. But on August 31, 2019, the internet pretty much lost it when photos of the pair holding hands hit the web. Since then they’ve been pretty much inseparable. They have even traveled to Madrid, Spain and New York City together — and we can’t get enough of their adorable relationship!
