With each passing day, fans are hopeful that one day, the One Direction guys will find a way to reunite and give the world at least one more album as a group. Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne have echoed sentiments about wanting to get back together in the future. Though now the “Strip That Down” singer is the one who is taking a step back when it comes to talks of a reunion. In a recent interview at the KISS House Party Live, Payno admitted that there is one huge obstacle that stands in their way, and no it’s not their schedules. Turns out, it’s their musical styles.
Seeing as Hazza has gone the alternative route, Nialler acoustic, and Louis has channeled some electronic dance influences into his tracks – it’s a drastic shift from what they did as a group. While Liam has yet to release a full studio album like Harry and Niall (er, and Zayn) have, he’s hard at work recording new music as we speak. If the whole squad were to get back together in the studio, Liam thinks it could cause some trouble. He said, “I don’t know how we would do it, we are doing different things. Our name has never been more ironic at this current moment.”
“It’s like the Avengers have gone wrong. It could work if we all agree on music,” he continued to say. Right now their styles are all over the place, but those differences are what made them the amazing band everyone remembers them to be. Also, taking this time to grow professionally could totally factor into them putting out some great stuff as a group in the future.
Sure, right now it looks like a little bit of a challenge but we bet if the guys are truly dedicated to getting the band back together – they will. Maybe it won’t happen in the next year or two, but down the road they could totally reassemble 1D. Anything is possible.
