Sorry guys, Lili Reinhart is unfortunately not guest starring on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. Rumors started spreading that the Riverdale star was going to make an appearance in the new show after an account posing as actress Hayley Erin, who plays Taylor in the Freeform series, tweeted the exciting news.
The account claimed that Lili would appear in the April 3rd episode of the show, and that she would play Ursula Winters — Caitlin’s friend and track captain.
But it turns out, the account was totally fake! Hayley’s real Twitter username is @HayleyErin, while the fake account’s username was @hayieyerin — with an “I” instead of an “L.” So sneaky!
The 22-year-old blonde beauty quickly shut these rumors down when she took to her Instagram Stories to share a Twitter convo between her mom and the fake account.
“Nope,” her mom, Amy Reinhart, replied to the poser.
“And who are you? I think I know more about Lili than you do,” they fired back.
“That’s literally her mom,” one fan pointed out.
The whole thing seemed to have amused Lili because after sharing the fake news, she added a simple “LOL.” Enough said.
OK, as sad as we are that Lili won’t be in The Perfectionists, we are living for her epic clap back to the poser, whose account has now been suspended.
As fans know, the spinoff series premiered on March 20, 2019, and we’re already pretty obsessed! Two of the OG PLL stars — Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish — continued their epic roles for the new show. Plus, Descendants star Sofia Carson, former Nickelodeon actress Sydney Park, Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford and newcomer Eli Brown all also joined the cast. And get this — it is directed by the PLL showrunner I. Marlene King! Honestly, with or without Lili, we know the show is going to be epic.
