We’re seriously obsessed with Noah Cyrus‘ new tattoos! The singer stopped by celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy‘s shop in New York City on Wednesday, May 15, where she added four new ink designs to her enormous collection — and their meanings are seriously adorable.
The 19-year-old got the words “mommy” and “daddy” tattooed onto her fingers, honoring her parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus.
How sweet? And that’s not all. She also got a matching ink with her bestie Alexa Gabriel — Chinese symbols written in black and white on their fingers.
She also got a quote from her friend Diablo inked onto her wrist, which says, “You remind me of the color blue.”
“My beautiful friend wrote me a beautiful letter and he said this at the end of it,” she explained on Instagram. “Diablo, you’ve shown me nothing but strength and i admire your strength so much. Thank you for being in my life! I am so lucky. This tattoos for you.”
As fans know, the singer has over 30 other tattoos all over her body, and this wasn’t the only one in honor of her family. Her first tattoo — roman numerals “II – XXVIII – MMVI” on her shoulder — represents the date February 28, 2006, which is the day her grandfather unfortunately passed away.
“I broke my shoulder a few years ago and I had to do a surgery on it. So I have a scar on my shoulder and I wanted to cover up the scar because I would never show my shoulders anymore,” she explained to AMBY in 2017. “I was like, ‘This has gotta go.’ So I got that tattoo for my Pappy and put it on my shoulder.”
She also has the name of two of her dad’s songs, “Bluegrass State Of Mind” and “Stand Still,” inked onto her arms and a teardrop tattoo matching with her sister Miley Cyrus. Not to mention that she and her brother Braison Cyrus have matching Legend of Zelda tattoos! Plus, she also has a horseshoe tattoo for her mom.
