The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, you guys. That’s right, singer-songwriter Rayla‘s much-anticipated new music video for her bop, “Alter Ego,” is out and it’s even better than we imagined!
Get this — the epic new video stars none other than one of our our favorite Disney actresses Meg Donnelly! Wow, talk about an epic duo. Rayla just spilled all the tea on the new music vid and working with the Zombies actress exclusively to J-14, and it honestly sounds like they had an epic time on set.
“Meg initially came to the shoot for support and ended up being in the video,” she dished. “[It] just added a whole other level to it. We were just having a fun time hanging out and being ourselves. It was a last minute idea to have her be a part of it and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s exactly the way it should be. She’s the best!”
“This was a really fun video to shoot!” she continued. “We spent the whole day hanging out in L.A. I always say that like most people I have two sides of me, the one that loves to hang out at home with friends, in sweatpants and a sweatshirt and just chill with a good movie. Then there’s the other side of me, my ‘Alter Ego,’ the side that loves to get dressed up, be in L.A., hang out with friends and shop! The video is a fun play on my Alter Ego.”
As J-14 readers know, we’ve all been pretty obsessed with the 17-year-old singer lately. She’s got a few other hits, including “LNT,” “Just Wanna Go,” “Girl Code” and “Boys Like You” — which you may have heard on Radio Disney. We honestly can’t stop listening to her! Rayla even opened up for Olivia Holt on her tour, and her first EP will be out later this year.
