Try not to freak out, you guys, but two of your favorite Netflix stars just collaborated on something BIG. And by that, we mean Noah Centineo made a cameo in Dylan Minnette‘s latest music video. Well, sort of.
For those of you who don’t know, the 13 Reasons Why star is the frontman of a band called The Wallows, and they just released their song “Are You Bored Yet?” on Friday, February 1. In addition to the song, they also released their karaoke bar-inspired music video, and while we had a lot of expectations to begin with, we weren’t expecting to see the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star make an appearance at all.
Alas, the 22-year-old actor played the role of the bartender in the vid, and he posted a still of himself from the video on Instagram, letting fans know he got to be a part of it.
Of course, fans totally flipped when they found out the Sierra Burgess Is a Loser actor made a cameo in the music video.
One fan tweeted, “omfg noah centineo is in wallows’ new video. my friday is made,” with someone else adding, “noah centineo in a wallows ft clairo mv how am i alive again?”
TBH, we’ll take a Noah cameo wherever we can get one, but unfortunately, some Wallows fans don’t feel the same way. Apparently, Noah has become too mainstream to appear in their music video, leading to lots of diehard fans of the band throwing him major shade.
One person wrote, “but we didn’t need noah centineo in the video @ wallows,” with another Twitter user writing, “love that the wallows gave noah a job !” Ouch.
Obviously, his appearance in this video is causing far more backlash than the other music video he starred in recently alongside Lily Collins, and we’re not really sure why. Personally, we’re always down for more Noah Centineo, and although he only appeared in the Wallows’ vid for, like, 30 seconds, it was definitely enough to hold us over until the TATBILB sequel hits Netflix.
