Well, it took a minute, but we’re happy to say that Robert Pattinson has officially developed positive feelings about Twilight, despite expressing his outright hatred for the flicks in the past.

That’s right, Twihards! The 32-year-old has officially changed his tune, and now that the Twilight fandom has grown up and calmed down significantly, the actor only has great memories of working on the films.

“It’s lovely now that the mania is not so intense,” he revealed to USA Today. “People come up (to me) and just have very fond memories of it. It’s a really sweet thing. I think the only scary part was right in the thick of it all, when it was very, very intense. Now the intensity has died down and it’s just very warm memories.”

But wait, there’s more. The actor also told the outlet that he’s actually a big fan of the soundtracks that went along with the films, and that he was just listening to the New Moon soundtrack the other day.

“It genuinely does have an incredibly good soundtrack,” he said. “I completely forgot, but the soundtracks were quite ahead of their time.” We couldn’t agree more!

Plus, the first Twilight movie celebrated its 10-year anniversary in October 2018, and he pretty much thinks it’s the coolest thing ever that OG fans of the flick are rediscovering what they loved about it so much.

“It seems like with younger people in their late teens, early 20s, it’s sort of become quite a hip thing to like,” he said. “It’s a fascinating second wave of people appreciating it, which is kind of cool. I think when anything becomes a massive phenomenon, there’s always people who get annoyed because it’s just everywhere. But now it seems like a retro thing: the soundtrack, the fashion. It’s like, ‘Oh, that’s so late 2000s.’ ”

Honestly, he’s so right. And what makes it even better is that he said back in September that he’d be willing to reprise his role yet again if the opportunity came up. TBH, we’re not quite sure what changed his mind about the franchise, but it sounds like he’s down for a Twilight movie marathon. Grab the popcorn!
