Sabrina Carpenter is a total Disney Channel queen, having had her big break on the network starring on Girl Meets World before becoming the pop star and actress she is today. And once upon a time, she met an OG Disney legend, Zac Efron, long before she was on the network that catapulted him to superstardom too and well, the story is nothing short of iconic.
Speaking to Buzzfeed, the 19-year-old starlet admitted that when she was 11, she was lucky enough to meet Zac when she happened to be at the beach. Like, imagine running into Zac on the beach of all places and oh yeah, he was totally shirtless. Did we mention that part?
“I once went up to Zac Efron when I saw him on the beach and I was 11 and I told him that I liked his work. And he wasn’t wearing a shirt and that’s how composed I was as an 11-year-old I said, ‘I’m a big fan of your work.’ And he was so nice to me, but I just remember being that nerd at 11 years old,” Sabrina said.
Okay, first of all, we need to give the ” Sue Me” songstress major props because not many people would be able to keep their cool casually stumbling upon Zac, especially when he’s not wearing a shirt. But lil Sabs kept it together and perhaps she knew that one day she too would become a staple of Disney Channel, so keeping things super professional while meeting the now 31-year-old actor was the only way to be. What’s funny enough is that Zac isn’t the only Disney icon Sabrina met before she started working on the network. She was a huge Miley Cyrus fan and when she was 10 years old, she explained that met the “Wrecking Ball” singer while wearing a fedora hat. So imagine a baby Sabrina being so happy to meet her queen Miley, and the pic she has to look back on, she’s rocking something she would never wear today. Simply amazing and once again proves she was destined to be where she is today.
