Are you ready, kids? It’s official — there’s a SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff series coming to Netflix! Yep, the streaming service just signed a multiyear content-production deal with Nickelodeon, and it includes a brand new show about our favorite yellow sponge.

So what exactly will the new show be about? Get this — according to The New York Times, it’s actually going to be centered around Squidward Tentacles — SpongeBob’s grumpy octopus neighbor. Want to know the best part? It’s going to be a musical! How exciting is that?!

The new deal also will allow Nickelodeon to create and produce other original animated feature films and television series based on their library of characters, so it’s likely that more spinoff shows based on other fan-favorites are in the works!

Back in June, the network announced that another SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff show called Kamp Koral was in the works. The new series will be a prequel to the original show. It will follow SpongeBob when he was a kid — 10 years old, in fact — while he embarks on a ton of adventures at sleepaway camp.

“In the series, SpongeBob and his pals spend the summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral,” Nickelodeon said in a statement.

SpongeBob has an incredible universe to expand upon and the green light for Kamp Koral is a testament to the strength and longevity of these characters known and loved by generations of fans around the world,” Ramsey Naito, Nickelodeon’s Vice President of Animation Production and Development, added.

But what about Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Sandy and Plankton? Will they be in Kamp Koral? Unfortunately, it’s not 100 percent clear just yet, but considering that the show takes place long before he got his job at the Krusty Krab, it’s likely that there’s going to be a whole new set of characters introduced!

Next year is seriously going to be SpongeBob-filled year, and nobody’s complaining!
