Prepare yourselves, people, because two major stars are set to team up for a brand new movie. That’s right, Charles Melton and Nina Dobrev will appear alongside each other in the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy, Love Hard.
According to Deadline, the movie will follow “an LA girl, unlucky in love, [who] falls for an East Coast guy on a dating app and decides to surprise him for Christmas, only to discover that she’s been catfished. But the object of her affection actually lives in the same town, and the guy who duped her offers to set them up IF she pretends to be his own girlfriend for the holidays.”
Aside from The Vampire Diaries alum and Riverdale actor, the flick will also star comedian Jimmy O. Yang. After the film’s announcement went live, Nina took to Instagram and shared the exciting news with her followers.
“It’s not hard to fall in love with Love Hard. I died laughing reading this script, I’m so excited to bring it to life with @netflix,” she wrote. “You read, boys?”
From the sound of it, viewers are seriously going to laugh out loud while watching this movie. Unfortunately, the streaming service did not announce a release date for the film just yet, but we hope they do soon because, let’s be real, this is the dream team that we never knew we needed!
As fans know, aside from her The Vampire Diaries role, Nina has appeared in recent movies like Lucky Day and Run This Town. On the other hand, Charles has become known for his character Reggie Mantle in Riverdale, but he also showed off his major acting skills alongside Yara Shahidi in the 2019 drama, The Sun Is Also A Star. Yeah, it’s safe to say these two talents together is going to make for one movie we won’t want to miss!
