Congratulations Vanessa Morgan! The Riverdale star just revealed that she’s engaged to her longtime boyfriend Michael Kopech, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
The couple shared the exciting news on Wednesday, July 3 via Instagram, and they even gave us a look at the super romantic proposal. The White Sox baseball player asked the actress to marry him the absolutely cutest way possible, if you ask us. Get this, you guys — he got down on one knee in front of a giant waterfall in Supai, Arizona. Wow, talk about goals!
“My Forever,” the 27-year-old, who stars as Toni in the CW series, wrote on Instagram, alongside a snap of the breathtaking moment.
She also gave us a glimpse of her gorgeous diamond ring, when she posted a selfie with her beau.
The 23-year-old professional athlete also took to Instagram to gush over his fiancée, and it’s clear how much they mean to one another.
“So I’ll start with the obvious: I love you,” he wrote. “I love you intensely, passionately and also at times, recklessly. I make decisions on the spur of the moment (I mean look at how our relationship has gone up to this point). I’m a very non traditional type of person and I know I’ve found my match in you when it comes to that especially. Our relationship probably doesn’t make sense to many people for a s–t ton of reasons, but we’re not doing it for them. We know this is forever. Why would we wait?”
“You literally stayed by my side when I felt I had lost my mind. You stayed by my side for these seemingly random changes of my life. You stayed when often times I didn’t deserve it,” he continued. “You’ve loved me for ME from day one. Completely unselfishly. You’re undeniably the spark that reignited my fire. You’re deserving of much more than just this moment but this one just felt particularly magical. I’m incredibly humbled by the love that you give and I only hope I can portray a fraction of the love and light that you carry with you.
