Lili Reinhart pretty much slayed the red carpet at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019. But the question on everyones mind was — where was her boyfriend Cole Sprouse? The couple is normally inseparable, and since they have walked some other red carpets together (like the 2018 Met Gala, for example), fans were pretty hopeful that we’d get some more adorable Lili/Cole pics at the award show. So naturally, when the 26-year-old didn’t show, people started to worry that something might have gone wrong between our favorite couple. But don’t worry guys, we can all breathe because it turns out, Cole wasn’t at the glamorous event because he was actually 7,000 miles away!
The actor is currently all the way on the other side of the world, in New Zealand, with his Riverdale co-star KJ Apa on an epic guys trip. As J-14 readers know, KJ was actually born in Auckland, NZ, so the boys have been spending time with the 21-year-old’s family for the holidays. They’ve also had some epic adventures during the trip — including a helicopter ride over the gorgeous mountains — which lucky for us, the boys have shared on their social media accounts.
How cute is it that our favorite Riverdale characters’ bromance is just as strong IRL as it is on the show? The boys also hit up the beaches of New Zealand, and boy does it look beautiful.
We’re honestly not sure what’s more breathtaking — KJ’s smoldering eyes or the view behind him? LOL. But seriously, it looks like an amazing trip.
And even though Cole couldn’t attend the star-studded event on Sunday, he made sure to send his girlfriend some support when he shared an adorable video of her to his Instagram Story. “Why I can’t leave @lilireinhart alone,” he captioned the hilarious clip of Lili, 22, goofing off with her friends during the award show.

Other stars like Taylor Swift, Debby Ryan, and Sabrina Carpenter were also in attendance, so even though we’re sad we didn’t get any new Bughead PDA, we’re still living for the pics from the glamorous night.
