As 2018 nears its end, it might also mean the end of one of our favorite couples. Fans are worried that Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid might have split after more than three years together, and we’re low-key freaking out over the rumor. We decided to investigate, and we’ve rounded up all the clues that the “Pillowtalk” singer and the model have split.
Zayn unfollowed Gigi.
The first major clue that the longtime couple decided to call it quits is that Zayn actually unfollowed Gigi on Instagram. Unfollowing someone is a pretty big statement, so that’s definitely not a good sign.
They haven’t been seen together in a while.
Not to mention that the couple haven’t been spotted together since October, which is a long time for these two, who are normally inseparable.
Their last PDA was on Oct. 21, 2018, when the 23-year-old shared a selfie of her and her beau, which she captioned, “Flying home to my happy place.” Since then, the couple has been pretty quiet on social media. Plus, they haven’t even been photographed visiting each other’s NYC apartments like they normally are.
They were apart for the holidays.
Another red flag is that it looks like the couple didn’t spend Christmas together. As J-14 readers know, Z and G have spent the last two Christmas’ together, but this year, there was no sign of the singer in the Hadid family’s holiday pics. Gigi and her family spent Christmas altogether in Pennsylvania, and they shared numerous snaps of the festivities, but Zayn was no where to be found. Plus, the 25-year-old’s cousin shared a selfie with him two days after Christmas, so fans believe that Zayn spent the holiday at home in London with his family.
Zayn and Gigi broke up once before, back in March of 2018. “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend,” Zayn wrote in a statement at the time. “She has such an incredible soul. I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time.”

But the couple were spotted kissing a few weeks later and have been pretty strong ever since. Until now, that is. Ugh, we’re hoping that what happened last time happens again because we’re so not ready to accept that this might be the end of Zigi.
