Camila Mendes is now a single lady, E! News reports. She allegedly “very recently” broke up with her boyfriend Victor Houston, who just joined Camila at Comic-Con San Diego 2018 in July. And it’s been said that he was totally blind sighted by it all. Despite the fact that everyone thought KJ Apa and Camila were dating, those were just rumors because Cami is believed to have been dating Victor for about four months – but it wasn’t until July 2018 that she confirmed.
“I can confirm, sure, I don’t care,” she spilled to E! News at a 2018 Beautycon event in Los Angeles.
Before she confirmed she was dating Victor, she did tell Nylon that whoever it was she was seeing was a non-actor.
“It’s somebody completely out of the industry,” she spilled. “It’s funny because I’m more hesitant to talk about it because I don’t want him to read this… I actually would totally talk about it right now, if I didn’t feel like, wait, he might read this.”
Since this split, Victor has deleted a bunch of photos with Camila from his Instagram, but Camila does still have a photo of Victor kissing her cheek up on her feed.
So how did they meet in the first place? Cami and Victor actually went to neighboring high schools in Florida before she became a big star after being cast in Riverdale. And that’s when those KJ dating rumors started. The two have such strong chemistry as Archie and Veronica on screen, so it comes as no surprise fans started shipping them in real life too.
“Me and Cami are really good mates and I think the writers keep giving us more and more cool stuff to work on,” KJ said in an interview with Teen Vogue. “I think [the storylines] kind of make [Archie and Veronica] even closer than what they were. [That closeness is] not really something we need to work on. We’re pretty much there [already] when we’re on set.”

Basically, no matter what, everyone’s going to ship different pairings of the Riverdale stars. Even Cole Sprouse admitted that fans wanting them to date each other is just inevitable – they just can’t let it bother them too much.
Cole told Entertainment Weekly, “Since the show began, people have wanted Lili and I to be together. People have wanted Lili and Cami to be together. People have wanted KJ and I to be together. People have wanted every actor on this show to be in a union that they could make real and talk about. So I think that kind of discussion, especially because it’s based so much on rumor and hearsay, needs to be taken with a grain of salt.”
We’ll just have to wait and see if Camila confirms the breakup!
