Celebrities are people too, and sometimes people need to vent their frustrations on social media — including Zayn Malik. The former One Direction star took to Twitter on March 23 to share a concerning tweet, and of course, fans were instantly worried.

Shortly after tweeting that he’s a “s–t person,” the “Let Me” crooner went ahead and deleted it. However, fans still saw the tweet, and the fact that he deleted it so quickly made them even more nervous. Luckily, the 26-year-old returned to the social media platform the following day to let fans know they have absolutely nothing to worry about. What a relief!

“Currently happy, could be happier,” he wrote. “Thanks for all the love and thoughts yesterday just had a vent ha x.”

In unison, Zayn fans across the globe breathed a sigh of relief. After all, it was a long 24 hours of trying to figure out if the “PILLOWTALK” singer was OK. Now that they know he’s doing well, they’ve flooded his mentions with well wishes to let him know they have his back whenever he’s feeling down. We’ve all been there, right?

In response to his reassuring tweet, one fan wrote, “You’ve changed so many people’s lives, including mine, hope you know that x always supporting u, proud as always.” Aww!

Another loyal fan echoed those same sentiments, tweeting, “Zayn… I love you so much just spend all the time you need on yourself we want you 100% happy.” How sweet!

As you could probably imagine, there were thousands more messages for Zayn, all of which encouraged him to take some time to focus on himself and his happiness — likely because he’s been so open about his struggle with his mental health in the past.

In a 2016 interview with Time, the Icarus Falls musician opened up about his anxiety, citing it as the reason he had to cancel several performances.

“One of my team members offered to write a statement saying that I’d been taken ill, but I didn’t want to do that. I was done with putting out statements that masked what was really going on. I wanted to tell the truth. Anxiety is nothing to be ashamed of; it affects millions of people every day. I know I have fans out there who have been through this kind of thing, too, and I wanted to be honest for their sake, if nothing else.”

We don’t know about you, but we’re so grateful that he’s been so open and honest about his anxiety — especially since it’s something many of us are dealing with ourselves. We’re just glad he’s OK and we hope he realizes how many fans are rooting for his happiness. We’re thinking of you, Zayn!
