We’re all a little confused by Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau‘s whirlwind relationship — including the YouTube star’s mom! Life & Style Magazine caught up with Pam Paul at the couple’s wedding on Sunday, July 28, and she admitted that she doesn’t even know her daughter-in-law very well! When the outlet asked Pam if there was anything she could tell them about Tana that no one knew, she replied, “No. I don’t know Tana that well. I really don’t.”
OK, awkward. She did reveal, however, that the influencer is “very different in person” versus on-camera.
“I love her, she’s awesome,” she added. “She’s like the girl version of Jake.”
Jake’s mom also admitted that the entire family was “taken by surprise” over their romance.
As fans know, the couple first started dating back in April, and they got engaged just two months later — on Tana’s 21st birthday. But because they’re both known for doing some crazy things for views, fans quickly became convinced that they were faking their relationship for clout. And although they’ve even admitted that at first they were playing it up for the cameras, it appears that real feelings did start to develop over time.
In a video uploaded on their wedding day, Tana opened up about all the things she loved about Jake, and our hearts were seriously bursting.
“To me, that’s what the truest form of love is — someone who understands, and not just fake understands,” she said. “Someone who could look at you from across a room full of people and know exactly what you’re thinking. I could never speak again and you could write out exactly what’s in my head. We could close our eyes and walk through this life completely blind and we’d still manage to take the same steps. It isn’t just, ‘I love you.’ It’s, ‘Thank you.’ I’m thankful for everything bad that’s ever happened to me because it led me straight to you.”

And my best life is one lived by your side.”
