Former Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke broke down in tears during Dancing with the Stars on Monday, September 23, after she revealed that she was bullied for her dancing abilities during her time in the group. But when she hit the stage to perform, she totally proved the haters wrong! She absolutely slayed her performance, and we are seriously so proud of her.

During rehearsals for the second week of the hit ABC competition series, the 26-year-old told her partner, Sasha Farber, that she was labeled the worst dancer while in the girl group.

“In the past, while I was in Fifth Harmony, people were really mean to me online. They would say, ‘She’s the worst dancer in the room.’ They would create videos of me and laugh at them,” Ally explained. “That completely broke my confidence. When you get bullied online, that doesn’t go away, that’s always with you. But I’m not gonna let that stop me. I’m gonna work even harder.”

The singer channeled her insecurities into her performance, and it definitely paid off. Ally and Sasha performed a Viennese Waltz, and they received impressive scores from all three judges. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli both gave them a 7, while Len Goodman gave them a 6, resulting in a total of 20 points! Carrie even got up to give Ally a hug after the dance.

“I love when it’s transformative. Dancing With the Stars can change peoples lives,” she said. “Tonight it’s changing yours. You are a dancer. To the haters, ‘Boo ya!'”

“That felt honestly liberating for me,” the “Work From Home” singer gushed after the dance, as tears filled her eyes. “I just want to say up here while I have the opportunity, if anyone ever feels like they’re scared to do something because they got made fun of or bullied, I want you to know that you can do it, and I hope that I can be an inspiration and voice for you guys.”

Take that, haters!
