Get yourself a friend like Ariana Grande! On Monday, November 4, the “Sweetener” singer took to social media and defended Lizzo after Arianators trended #LizzoIsOverParty on Twitter.

Where did this sudden drama between fandoms come from? As it turns out, the 31-year-old singer’s hit “Good As Hell” just reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. But how does this relate to Ariana? Well, on October 25, the 26-year-old teamed up with Lizzo and dropped “Good As Hell Remix.”

Fans were upset after the original song broke the top ten on the charts while the remix stayed at number 14. When Lizzo took to Twitter and shared her achievement, the Internet went crazy because she didn’t credit Ariana for giving her tune a boost.

The “Side To Side” singer didn’t seem to mind, though. She congratulated the rapper on the smash hit.

“Ayeeeeee ! get it sis !!!!!!” she wrote. “Love u ! congrats on another smash!”

Some fans argued that Billboard should have mentioned Ariana, while others would have been happy if Lizzo did. The drama stopped once  #LizzoIsOverParty started trending. Ariana hopped stepped in, talked to her fans, and stood up for Lizzo.

“I just came on [because] I want to make sure y’all know how I feel about these things and that u can be happy for others! love u !” she wrote on Twitter after responding to fans that dragged the “Truth Hurts” singer.

This comes just days after Ariana looked back on the one year anniversary of her self-love single “Thank U, Next” and wrote a heartfelt note to fans on social media thanking them for their support.

“It’s been one hall of a productive, emotional, wild and yet … happy! year,” she said. “Thankful for my babies who have provided me with endless strength, energy and inspiration… and to my friends who have held me together on the road and at home. i’m sure they’re just as exhausted lmao.”
