We’ve just discovered a new beauty technique that we never knew we needed, thanks to Riverdale star Camila Mendes. The actress was filming a scene for the third season in Pop’s Diner when she suddenly had to fix her makeup — we’ve all been there. But since there were no brushes or sponges around, the 24-year-old had to be creative and use what was around her. So what did she decide to use to help blend her foundation? A pancake. That’s right, Camila used an actual breakfast food to blend her makeup and we are dying over it.
Her co-star Cole Sprouse captured the moment, which he shared to his Instagram story on Friday, Nov. 16.
Although it may be strange, a pancake actually isn’t the weirdest thing that’s been used to apply makeup before. Ambitious beauty Instagrammers have tried all kinds of makeup sponge alternatives, including socks, tomatoes, feminine products, a marshmallow, and even a bra-insert. LOL. We are dying. You gotta do what you gotta do to make sure your makeup is perfect, right?
Cole hasn’t been the only one from the show sharing hilarious videos of his co-stars recently. As J-14 readers know, Camila’s character, Veronica Lodge, is dating KJ Apa‘s character, Archie Andrews, in the show, but IRL, she’s happily dating their co-star Charles Melton, who plays Reggie. But last week, KJ and Charles were watching the newest episode of Riverdale together, when an intense make out scene between Veronica and Archie hit the screen. Lucky for us, KJ captured the awkward moment and shared it on his Instagram Story. In the hilarious clip, Charles turned to give the camera sad, puppy dog eyes as his girlfriend smooched his BFF.
But Charles has nothing to worry about, because Camila has made it pretty clear that she’s all his, pancake face and all. We’ve decided that personally, we wouldn’t try her new beauty technique ourselves — mainly because we wouldn’t want to waste a perfectly good pancake!
