Many children have fond memories of watching Disney movies growing up — but for Cara Delevingne, fairy tales and fantasies actually had a negative impact on the star.

The model has been super open about her sexual identity for quite some time, but the Paper Towns actress just revealed that it wasn’t always so clear to her. In fact, she admitted that watching Disney movies as a kid made her completely question her sexuality.

In an interview on Wednesday with Drag Race‘s RuPaul and Michelle Visage on the What’s The Tee? podcast, she admitted, “I never really wanted to accept my sexuality.”

“I have sisters, but I spent a lot of time alone, and films and fantasy and books were so incredible to me. I learnt so many lessons from that—from Disney and that kind of fairy tale thing,” the 26-year-old star explained. “I was like, ‘Disney princesses all love men. That’s the way it is, and I’m not going to be a princess if I don’t, you know what I mean?'”

This isn’t the first time she has spoken out about being sexually fluid, which is a term that means a person’s sexual attractions and identity can change over time.

“It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it. But I have…dreams only [in which I’m attracted to men],” she told Vogue in 2015. “The thing is, if I ever found a guy I could fall in love with, I’d want to marry him and have his children. And that scares me to death because I think I’m a whole bunch of crazy, and I always worry that a guy will walk away once he really, truly knows me.”

Yas girl, we love a star who speaks her truth!
