He may be one of the most recognizable names in Hollywood, but Harry Styles likes to keep his relationships out of the public eye.
While eagle-eyed fans are quick to spot the “Watermelon Sugar” singer when he’s spotted with a new lady, Harry has never really spoken about any of his past romances. The former One Direction singer has been romantically linked to Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, Nadine Leopold, Georgia Fowler, Tess Ward and Camille Rowe, among others, in the past.
When it came to his relationship with Kendall, the British crooner played coy until they were face-to-face on a talk show. Even then, Harry denied sharing any details about the time they were together. Harry and Kendall were first spotted together in 2013 and sparked romance rumors multiple times over the years. When Harry stepped in for The Late Late Show host James Corden in December 2019, he interviewed the model. During their conversation, the “Sign of the Times” musician poked fun at Kendall’s past love for One Direction. She got her payback on the same episode when they played “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.”
“I’m dying to know this,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum told Harry. “Which songs on your last album were about me?” He didn’t answer the question, leaving fans (and Kendall) to speculate which tracks on his debut record really were about her.
Of course, this isn’t the only one of Harry’s relationships that have made headlines. In early 2021, reports surfaced that he was dating Olivia Wilde after they worked together on the movie Don’t Worry Darling. In January of that year, the DailyMail shared photos of Olivia at Harry’s house. The same day, the New York Post’s Page Six published pics of the pair holding hands while attending Harry’s manager’s wedding. Since then, the two have been going strong.
“It’s always kind of a balance thing, because you want to date normally but then, you also want to protect it so it can be normal,” Harry said of his love life during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in March 2020. “I think a big part of it is like, you want to be able to spend enough time with each other where you can get to know each other before you have to deal with the extra stuff.”
While he hasn’t settled down just yet, the singer has plans to get married in the future. “It’s definitely what I want to do,” Harry said during the radio interview.
The budding actor has also shared some insight into what it’s like to date as a famous person.
“Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you don’t really understand exactly how it works when you’re 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn’t make it easier,” he shared during a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone. “I mean, you’re a little bit awkward to begin with. You’re on a date with someone you really like. It should be that simple, right? It was a learning experience for sure.”
Years later, Harry talked about keeping his romances private. “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively,” he told Rolling Stone in August 2022. “There’s always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn’t going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way.”
He added, “Sometimes people say, ‘You’ve only publicly been with women,’ and I don’t think I’ve publicly been with anyone. If someone takes a picture of you with someone, it doesn’t mean you’re choosing to have a public relationship or something.”
