Drop everything because more than two years since Harry Styles released his first solo album, the One Direction singer is back with a brand new single! The song is called “Lights Up,” and it’s a total bop, TBH. The “Sign of the Times” crooner dropped the song at midnight on Friday, October 11 (with no warning!), and fans cannot stop listening to it.

But what is the tune about? Based on the lyrics, it appears that it’s about the feeling of euphoria he gets while partying, and the bittersweet feeling of returning to real life after the lights go up.

“All the lights couldn’t put out the dark / Runnin’ through my heart / Lights up and they know who you are / Know who you are / Do you know who you are?” the lyrics read. “Shine, step into the light / Shine, so bright sometimes / Shine, I’m not ever going back.”

Although Harry didn’t announce the song himself, in the hours leading up to its release, fans noticed mysterious posters popping up all around the world, so they had a feeling that he had something up his sleeve. The signs said “Do you know who you are?” on them, with the letters “TPWK” near the bottom. As fans know, “TPWK” stands for “Treat People With Kindness,” and has been the 25-year-old’s tagline for years now.

The 1D heartthrob also got fans buzzing when he tweeted the word “Do” on October 5. It was kind of a big deal, considering he rarely ever uses social media (before that, he hadn’t posted since May!), and fans were quick to make the connection from his tweet to the posters.

Back in August, he revealed to Rolling Stone Magazine that he was putting his finishing touches on his second studio album, and that it was all about “having sex and feeling sad.” There’s no word on the release date for HS2 just yet, but hopefully he announces something soon! Until then, everyone will be listening to “Lights Up” on repeat.
