Get ready, Cody Simpson fans, because the singer just revealed his upcoming album is coming a lot sooner than everyone thought! While speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the at the opening of the Marcell Von Berlin flagship store in Los Angeles, CA, on Tuesday, February 4, he spilled all the tea on his new tunes.

“I’ve been working on music for the last couple of months and I’m getting pretty close with a project that I’m really, really happy with,” he explained. “It’s kind of been a process of trial and error. I’ve kind of, like, been making a bunch of stuff, canning it, then making a bunch of stuff, canning it, but for me, that’s the process of an artist. I’m really excited because I finally feel like I have something I’m ready to share. You’ll be hearing it very, very soon.”

As fans know, there was speculation back in December 2019 that Cody and his girlfriend, Miley Cyrus, were starting a band together, after Miley trademarked the name Bandit and Bardot for use in “musical sound recordings,” as well as “live musical performances by a musical band.” But Cody quickly shut these rumors down.

“Strictly rumors,” he told the outlet, adding that he has no plans “at the moment” to collaborate with the “Wrecking Ball” singer. For those who missed it, he did, however, release a song inspired by her in October 2019, called “Golden Thing.”
