The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Yeah, that’s right. Disney just announced the release date for Descendants 3, and OMG, it’s coming out even sooner than we all thought! Mark your calendars, you guys, because the highly anticipated third installment to our favorite series will hit screens on August 2, 2019. That means we’re only a few months away, people! SCREAMING.
And that’s not all. You guys might want to prepare yourselves because the network also dropped a brand new music video of the opening number in the movie, and boy, is it epic.
After watching the new vid, we’re even more excited for the flick, TBH. The new song is called “Good to Be Bad,” and it’s performed by Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart. And it’s a total bop, if you ask us. After listening to it, we honestly can’t help but get up out of our seats and dance!
“From the North to the South, from the East to the West / Lost boys, lost girls you all know you’re the best / Hit the streets, it’s your day, turn it up / Now’s your chance, it’s time to get up on your feet and dance,” the Disney stars sing in the new tune as they show off their epic moves. “It’s good to be bad, and we’re proof of that / We used to be lost now we’re on the map.”
As fans know, Disney first shared the news that they were making a third Descendants movie back in February 2018, so we’ve been waiting a seriously long time for this.
But what will it be about, you ask? According to a statement from Disney Channel, “Descendants 3 unfolds on ‘VK Day’ as fair-minded Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay — the Villain Kids AKA ‘The VKs’ — cross the barrier and return to their birthplace, the Isle of the Lost, to bring four deserving Villain Kids to the coveted Auradon Prep in a land where they have a chance at success, happiness and fulfillment. But, it’s Mal who knows she must resolve to permanently close the barrier to the Isle of the Lost, fearing that nemeses Uma and Hades will wreak vengeance on her new home, the idyllic kingdom now ruled by her beloved King Ben. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force still threatens the people of Auradon, and Mal and her friends face their biggest challenge yet.”
