We all quickly became obsessed with Disney’s live-action remake of Dumbo after it hit theaters on March 29, 2019. It was truly a dream come true seeing one of our favorite cartoons come to life. And between the adorable little elephant and the breathtaking magic, it instantly stole all of our hearts.

Well guys, just when we thought we couldn’t fall more in love with the movie, J-14 had the opportunity to speak exclusively to one of the main stars, and now we’re even more obsessed. Finley Hobbins, who played Joe Farrier in the adorable film, spilled all the tea on the magical elephant, the movie and the inspiring message behind it.

J-14: Dumbo is so adorable! How would you describe him in this film?

Finley Hobbins: He’s amazing! He’s a bit shy, but he’ll do anything for a bag of nuts.

J-14: If you could fly like Dumbo, where would you want to go?

Finley: I would go all around the world and see everything, especially Australia!

J-14: The film is all about owning what makes you unique. Why do you think it’s good to stand out?

Finley: It’s good to stand out because it makes you who you are! We all have something unique about us, and we shouldn’t hide that.

Ugh, how cute? In case you haven’t seen it yet, the heartfelt movie is all about a young elephant named Dumbo, who lives in a circus and is made fun of for his oversized ears. But when he discovers that they actually give him the ability to fly, it changes everything.

The original movie came out over 70 years ago, back in 1941, so we’ve all been waiting a long time for this remake. The new flick was directed by Tim Burton and it also stars Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, Alan Arkin, Nico Parker and more! Make sure you go and see it if you haven’t already!
