Grieving the death of an immediate family member is really, really hard, and although we’re looking forward to the day that Ethan and Grayson Dolan will return to YouTube, they want us to know that it’s not going to happen immediately.

Grayson took to Twitter on January 31 to explain that, while he does miss creating content for their fans, he and his brother just simply aren’t ready to make more videos. It’s only been about two weeks since their father passed of cancer, so understandably, keeping up their their YouTube channel isn’t their top priority at the moment.

The 19-year-old wrote, “Not really feeling 100% ready to come back yet, but I’ve been thinking about you guys a lot and I miss you all very much.”

Of course, we’ve been thinking about them a lot, too, and we know whenever they do make their comeback, it’s going to be epic. How do we know? Well, because Grayson said it himself!

In a follow-up tweet, the vlogger wrote, “Once we’re back we’re going HARD tho hahah. I want to make you guys, myself, and my Dad proud.” Aww!

As much as we hope the twins will be back soon, there’s no denying they’ve been through a lot. Both of them looked up to their dad as a hero, which was made clear by the lengthy Instagram tributes they made to him soon after his passing.

“You will forever be my best friend,” Grayson wrote. “I miss you so f–kin much already Dad. I know that even though you’re not physically here with me on earth, that you are with me in spirit. You are responsible for making me the person that I am so proud to be today.”

Ethan echoed those sentiments, writing, “Dad, you were so much more to me than just my Dad. Although we were only granted 19 years here together it feels like we’ve spent a million lifetimes together. You are such a strong soul and you’ve made such a strong impact on more people than you would believe. I know you will always be with me but I want you to know that I will always be with you. You’re never alone Dad. You are the toughest man that I will EVER know.”

Take your time, boys. We know this can’t be easy.
