We can all agree that Liam Payne‘s new song, “Stack It Up,” is a total bop, right? The tune, which was co-written by Ed Sheeran, dropped on September 18, and we can’t stop listening to it! But some fans have noticed that there are a few similarities between the new bop and a song by Selena Gomez, and they’re not happy. Fans are accusing the One Direction singer of ripping off the former Wizard Of Waverly Place actress’ song “Same Old Love.”

“So Liam basically stole Selena’s beat,” one fan wrote on Twitter, alongside a video of the two songs being played back to back.

“I love Liam and his voice but his new song sounds like he just sang over ‘Same Old Love’s instrumental, I don’t know how Selena is not credited TBH,” another fan added.

I’m so proud of Liam but I’m scared it sounds a lot like ‘Same Old Love’ from Selena. I hope he won’t get into trouble,” a third fan wrote.

As fans know, the 26-year-old “Strip That Down” crooner isn’t the only celebrity that’s been accused of copying another artist. Back in July, 5 Seconds of Summer was reportedly sued by up-and-coming singer and songwriter David Henderson over their hit “Youngblood.” Ariana Grande, on the other hand, faced a lawsuit of her own after her “God Is a Woman” music video contained similarities to one of Vladimir Kush‘s paintings. Not to mention that the band Portugal. The Man accused the Jonas Brothers of copying one of their songs with their bop “Sucker.” Justin Bieber was also sued for his song “Sorry” by musician Casey Dienel back in 2015, but that lawsuit was eventually dropped. Plus, Ed was sued over this tune “Thinking Out Loud” last year. He was accused of ripping off the Marvin Gaye song “Let’s Get it On.”

Both Liam and Ed have yet to make a statement about the accusations.
