Some fans were left seriously worried about Chase Hudson after the TikTok star posted a worrisome picture on social media, and opened up about the continued hate he has received online.
In a video, which was screenrecorded and reposted to the Instagram account TikTok Room, the influencer got real about the negative comments he has gotten.
“I see people on social media, they get all this love. And then there’s me, I don’t get all the love. I get a lot of negativity and I get a lot of people telling me that I’m an ugly piece of f**king garbage,” he told fans in the clip. “This isn’t a f**king piece of garbage. Look at this guy, he’s so much cooler than that guy. They’ll say it and put it online and I’ll have to see it and be like, ‘Wow. I hate myself twice as much now.'”
Hours later, the 18-year-old shared a now-deleted selfie to his Instagram Stories, and when it appeared that he was crying in it, fans started to show their concern.
“Why man why,” he captioned it.
“NGL, I’m scared for him,” one fan wrote, with another adding, “I feel bad for him.”
“He doesn’t deserve the hate don’t @ me,” a third user commented, with a fourth writing that he “deserves happiness.”
Back in May, the social media star broke down in tears as he got real about being bullied when he was in school.
“I did struggle growing up as a child. My teenage years were really hard and it’s you guys that keep my going and for that I really just wanted to say thank you,” he said during a TikTok Live. “When I started social media, I started getting people that cared about me and as a high schooler and as a middle schooler and all that, I had no one. No one really cared about me. I was always kind of a misfit and very judged… and just kind of s**t on.”
Chase explained that it was his fans that really helped get him through the negative times.
“Seeing people care about me and look up to me, it really helps. You guys have helped me through so much s**t. If i had no support or love or anything from anyone, I wouldn’t, I don’t think I’d be here,” he continued. “So it’s safe to say you guys kind of saved my life. The love and the care and the nice messages you guys leave me and everything. You guys have really done a lot for me. I just wanted to thank you guys because I was at a low before doing social media and because of you guys I’ve kept going because you kept me strong.”
