Did Hailee Steinfeld just throw some major shade towards her ex-boyfriend Niall Horan? The singer uploaded a video to TikTok on Thursday, March 26, where she seemingly sent a strong message to the former One Direction member.

Lip syncing to the sound from another TikTok video, Hailee said, “Got a text from my ex the other day, said he missed me. I said, ‘I’m sorry I can’t talk right now, I’m at a funeral.’ He said, ‘Oh my God, who died?’ I said, ‘My feelings for you did, bye f**ker.'”

Ouch! For those who missed it, this comes just days after Hailee star had a super awkward reaction to one of Niall’s songs playing during her Instagram Live. Yep, while she was chatting with her fans, it appeared that one of her friends put on “Black and White” — one of the tracks off the “Slow Hands” crooner’s latest album, Heartbreak Weather. As soon as the Pitch Perfect 2 star realized, she turned away from the camera and said something to her friend that viewers couldn’t hear, but it definitely appeared that she was scolding him. She then turned back towards the camera and laughed awkwardly.

As fans know,  rumors first started swirling that the 26-year-old and the brunette beauty were dating back in February 2018, after they were spotted getting pretty cozy at a Backstreet Boys concert. And when they were photographed smooching in August 2018, fans of the couple got all the confirmation that they had been waiting for. But they unfortunately called it quits in December of the same year, and after they went their separate ways, it definitely didn’t seem like they ended on great terms. Why? Well, Hailee seemingly shaded the pop star multiple times on her Instagram Stories, and when she released her song “Wrong Direction” in January 2020, she even alleged that Niall had cheated on her.

“I just wanted to believe that you were out sleepin’ alone / Love me with your worst intentions / Didn’t even stop to question / Every time you burned me down / Don’t know how, for a moment it felt like heaven,” the lyrics read. “Love me with your worst intentions / Painted us a happy ending / Every time you burned me down / Don’t know how, for a moment it felt like heaven / And it’s so gut-wrenchin’ / Fallin’ in the wrong direction.”

Niall seemingly wrote a bunch of songs about the relationship on his new album, and he even allegedly confirmed that the “Starving” songstress definitely knows the tracks were inspired by her.

“Oh, I’m sure. Yeah, I’m sure,” he said when asked if the person who the songs were based off of knows. “But I think I’ve covered all angles of the relationship from everyone’s point of view, which is good. I mean, it’ll probably still sound really selfish, but my idea when I was writing them was that it was written from other people’s angles and stuff. But listen, it’s all good. It’s all good now.”
