It looks like Hailee Steinfeld is throwing a little bit of shade at her former flame, Niall Horan! The 22-year-old singer took to her Instagram Stories to post a video while driving down Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA. In the post, you can see a big old billboard for her new movie, Bumblebee.
“I bet you think of me when you see this driving down sunset,” the “Love Myself” songstress captioned the clip.
In case there was any doubt that The Edge of Seventeen actress’ post was about the One Direction cutie, don’t worry. Fans have already pointed out that Niall is, in fact, in the Los Angeles area. He was even photographed with a fan on Dec. 30, and there’s a selfie on Twitter to prove it. So yeah, seems like it might be hard for the 25-year-old singer to avoid seeing his former bae’s giant billboard. Just saying.
Rumors that the couple parted ways had been going on for months, but it wasn’t until December that reports confirmed they officially split.
“Hailee and Niall were going strong over the summer but split a few months ago and have been trying to keep it low-key,” a source close to Hailee told E! News. “Hailee realized she had a lot on her plate and her work schedule was insanely busy. She was gearing up for a huge press tour for her new movie. They really tried to make it work. It definitely was ‘young love.’”
Despite all the talk about their relationship, the two always kept things on the DL.
“I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I’m doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it’s hard for people, in general, to realize that there are boundaries to a person’s life and personal life,” the Pitch Perfect 2 star said to Us Weekly earlier this year. “I am a very private person. I do love that I have the opportunity to share with them what I’m comfortable with and they’re there to listen and support me.”
Well, it looks like these two might not be on the best of terms nowadays.
