If you’re anything like us over here at J-14, than you’re probably super excited for the new High School Musical TV show! Yep, Disney is making a spinoff series based on the iconic movies, called High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. It will premiere on their new streaming service, Disney+, on November 12, 2019 — and we can’t wait! Well guys, get ready to become even more pumped for the show. Why? Get this — we have a sneak peek of the new series, and boy, does it look like it’s going to be epic!
In case you missed it, the series stars Andi Mack actress Sofia Wylie, Stuck in the Middle‘s Joshua Bassett and Bizaardvark star Olivia Rodrigo. But will it follow the same plot as the movies, you ask? Nope! Instead of remaking the flicks, the story will follow a whole new group of East High students as they prepare to put on a production of High School Musical! The show takes place 15 years after the OG films and it’ll have some new songs and some old classics. So yeah, prepare to bring on the nostalgia!
