We were all pretty shook when Taylor Swift apologized to Joe Jonas for the time she blasted him on live television. We mean, the “Look What You Made Me Do” songstress is pretty known for her breakup tunes and has never been one to hold back, so seeing her publicly say sorry to her ex was pretty big. And now, the Jonas Brothers singer has responded to her apology.
Joe and his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas, sat down on the British TV show, Lorraine, on Wednesday, June 5, to discuss their new album. And when the talk show host brought up the blonde beauty, the 29-year-old revealed that it “felt nice” to hear her apology.
“It’s something that I probably was feeling pretty bad about when I was younger,” he explained.
But now, almost a decade after it all went down, the “Sucker” singer says everything is all good between them.
“At the end of the day, I’ve moved on. I’m sure Taylor’s moved on,” he added. “It feels nice and we’re all friends. It’s all good. We were so young.”
PHEW. We are so glad that they’re friends again! As fans know, Joe and Taylor dated back in 2008, and seeing two of our favorite stars in a relationship was seriously a dream come true. But in a moment what will go down in history, the blonde beauty revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that Joe had dumped over a 25-second phone call.
“You know what? It’s like, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful,” Taylor said. “And when I look at that person, I’m not even going to be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.”
Yeah, talk about no chill! But while she was promoting her new single, “ME!,” last month, Taylor appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show again. And when the talk show host asked her to reveal the most rebellious thing she ever did, she brought up the infamous moment.
“Probably when I like put Joe Jonas on blast on your show,” the music icon admitted. “That was too much. Yeah, that was too much. I was 18. Yeah, we laugh about it now, but that was mouthy. Just some teenage stuff there.”
And get this — Taylor even hung out with Joe’s wife, Sophie Turner! Yep, the two ladies appeared on The Graham Norton Show together, and they seemed at total ease with one another. We seriously love that they were all able to put their differences behind them.
