This may come as a surprise, but did you know that Joey King once made an appearance in Taylor Swift‘s music video? Yep, we totally forgot about that! The actress guest starred in the visual for the blonde beauty’s song “Mean” back in the day (when she was only 9 years old!) and now, she got real about what the experience was like for her.
While attending the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, the Kissing Booth star explained, “The last music video I did was back when I was 9 years old and I did Taylor Swift’s music video for ‘Mean.’ I mean honestly, it’s a huge flex.”

For those who forgot, the 21-year-old played a girl who was getting bullied in the music video.
And previously, she revealed that they shot it right before she was forced to shave all her hair off for her role in The Dark Knight!
“Funny story … the crazy thing is I filmed that music video the day before I shaved my head for The Dark Knight Rises. I was on that set, and we had to get it in because I needed to shave my head the next day for the movie,” she told Rolling Stone Magazine (via Seventeen). “We scheduled it so I could do the music video and she was so amazing and so sweet. I was unbelievably excited. There was like a rainbow cloud above my head, I was so happy.”
The Ramona and Beezus alum added, “I remember [Taylor] was like, ‘Oh, my God, I can’t believe you’re shaving your head tomorrow. We’re going to have to do something really cute with your hair.’ So we did that little, cute, like, straight-little bob and I was just so happy and excited. It was like the best day ever.”
This is the cutest story ever! BRB while we go watch the video on repeat now.
