Any Riverdale fan knows the cast’s IRL friendships are part of what makes the show so special. Off-screen, they really are super close and KJ Apa recently admitted that Cole Sprouse‘s Instagram account is one of his faves to follow. And anytime KJ gets to make an appearance on his 26-year-old co-star’s account, well, it usually comes as the result of a hilarious conversation.
“Cole Sprouse. He’s a funny guy, amazing photographer, always brings a smile to my face when I see a post from him. He does all of his own photography. He’s the only photographer I follow because he’s the only good one. I am in some of his photos Pretty much, [he] just asks me, you know, we’ll go out, he’ll ask, ‘can you just take your shirt off? Run over on that mountain and I’ll take that photo of you.’ And I happily oblige,” KJ explained.
OK, now let’s take a minute to break this down. Obviously, the 21-year-old actor was joking around as he told this story. But we’re kind of loving the concept of Cole just ordered his co-star to take his shirt off and strike a fierce pose so he can snap away. Iconic, truly. Cole’s IRL girlfriend Lili Reinhart has spoken about how special the photo shoots they have together are, so we can imagine it’s a bit of a bro-bonding session for KJ and Cole too. And it looks like KJ has no problem ever stepping in front of the camera for his bud. Hey, it’s all in the name of art and more shirtless shots of KJ is nothing to ever be sad about. Keep ’em coming, guys. We’re here for it.
