Ever since KJ Apa stepped into the spotlight, there’s been one question on everyone’s minds, and that is — is the swoon-worthy actor single? We mean, between his adorable personality, hilarious sense of humor, breathtaking smile and gorgeous body, he’s pretty much stolen all of our hearts by now. So it’s only natural that fans are curious about his love life.
“Every now and then I’ll go out on a little date,” he told Seventeen in April 2018. “The thing is, I don’t think it matters whether you’re looking for a relationship or not —it’s not for us to decide when we meet the love of our lives.”
Well guys, we decided to do some investigating, and it turns out, the Riverdale star is actually single! His last relationship was with model Clara Berry, who he also shares a daughter with, until the pair confirmed their breakup some time in 2024.
Clara confirmed the pair had split in February 2024, after fans asked the model if she was still in a relationship with KJ. “No,” she said in a TikTok video, via French translation. “You can see that I’m happier, no?”
In December 2019, KJ hinted that he may officially be off the market while completing WIRED‘s “Autocomplete Interview.” At the time, the actor said, “KJ Apa is doing great, he’s very much in love right now.” Nearly two months later, he and Clara went public in February 2020.
At first, the couple gave fans a look into their relationship via social media and packed on some major PDA. They even announced that they are expecting their first child together in May 2021. When the French model shared a photo of her baby bump on Instagram, he commented, “She’s pregnant btw.”
Clara wrote back, “We are,” alongside a heart emoji.
