Ever since KJ Apa was catapulted into fame through his leading role in Riverdale, we’ve all been wondering — does he have a girlfriend? Well guys, the New Zealand born actor has actually kept his love life pretty private over the years — until now, that is. Yeah, you guys might want to brace yourselves because the star was just reportedly spotted holding hands and smooching someone, and um, we are so here for this rumored new couple!
So who is the lucky lady? Drum roll please… It turns out, it’s his A Dog’s Purpose costar Britt Robertson! According to Us Weekly, the pair packed on the PDA at Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con party in San Diego on Saturday, July 21. An onlooker told the outlet that they saw the rumored couple holding hands, hugging and “leaning in and kissing each other.” As fans know, the two stars both appeared in the 2017 flick A Dog’s Purpose together. And it was announced back in May that they’d both be starring in another movie, called I Still Believe. You may also recognize the actress from her role as Allie Pennington in Avalon High!
Previously, there was rumors that the Riverdale cutie was dating Corinne Isherwood, after they were spotted hanging out a lot in late 2017 and early 2018. But despite spending a lot of time together, the actor insisted to Cosmopolitan at the time that he was single.
“I think I’m just waiting for the right time, right girl. I’m pretty busy at the moment. I don’t know how much I have to offer to someone right now,” the 22-year-old admitted.
As for Britt, she was linked to actor Graham Rogers before KJ. She also dated Dylan O’Brien for almost six years before calling it quits in 2018.
OK, we’re not going to lie — these two definitely make an adorable couple.
