It looks like there’s some major bad blood between NikkieTutorials and Pat McGrath. Yep, the beauty vlogger just completely slammed the makeup artist, and she told fans that she has decided to “un-stan” her former BFF.
For those who missed it, the YouTuber, whose real name is Nikkie de Jager, has previously been a pretty public supporter of Pat and her makeup line. Not only has she posted positive reviews of her products online, but she was even been invited by Pat herself to go backstage at Versace’s fashion show. However, in a recent YouTube video the beauty guru made it clear that she was no longer a fan.
“It’s time to spill the tea a little bit. Sometimes when I don’t like a brand as much, I put another brand on top of it,” the 26-year-old social media star said while showing off her collection of eyeshadow palettes during a house tour. She then covered all her Pat palettes with her Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palettes. Ouch!
“Someone was very rude to me in my face once and then I decided to un-stan,” she continued. “Goodbye!”
Wow, talk about no chill! As fans know, Nikkie had previously come under fire for her positive review of Jaclyn’s makeup. Some fans accused the influencer at the time of only recording the video because she had been paid by Jaclyn’s company, but she insisted that wasn’t the case.
“If you really think Morphe sponsored me or asked me to make the video, do you really think they would’ve allowed for me to say that I think the colors are repetitive, that there’s fallout in the pan, and with one shade on my face?” she said, referring to some of the things she had stated throughout her review. “Do you really think they would accept that?”
