Days after giving birth to her daughter, Daisy Dove, songstress Katy Perry has given her 105 million Instagram followers an honest look at mom life. On Sunday, August 30, while the MTV VMAs were in full swing, the 35-year-old took to her Stories to show off what she was doing instead.

“Hair ‘n makeup by @exhaustion. Bra by @medela_us. Underwear by @fridamom,” she captioned a mirror selfie of her post-baby body. Her song “Not the End of the World” played while a VMAs gif floated above her head.

For those who missed it, the American Idol judge and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, announced that they had welcomed their first baby together on August 27, 2020. The blonde beauty confirmed that she had given birth to a little girl via the organization UNICEF.

“Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom!” she wrote, alongside a sweet photo of their new daughter’s hand. “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter. But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”
