Between the star-studded guest list and the show-stopping performances, the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards was definitely a night to remember! The first in-person awards show amid the current coronavirus pandemic took place on Sunday, August 31, and it honored a bunch of Hollywood’s biggest musicians, songs, music videos and more.
Keke Palmer hosted the awards show, which featured some pretty amazing performances by Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga — who made their stage debut with “Rain On Me.” Miley Cyrus also sang her heart out to “Midnight Sky” and took fans down memory lane with a nod to her iconic “Wrecking Ball” performance from back in the day. But that’s not all! BTS also took the stage and, boy, did they totally kill it! Yeah, it’s safe to say a lot went down at this year’s ceremony.
