Warning: Spoilers ahead. Not to worry, Pretty Little Liars fans, because there’s nothing but love between Emily Fields and Alison DiLaurentis. Yep, despite having signed the divorce paperwork during an episode of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, the fan-favorite couple has reunited!
Thanks to PLL creator I. Marlene King, fans got a major update on the status of Emison, and we’re honestly so here for it. On Tuesday, June 30, Marlene replied to a fan who wanted an update on the couple, since it was their anniversary.
“@imarleneking today is Emison’s wedding anniversary. Please give us an update on how they’re doing,” the fan wrote. Naturally, the TV writer responded.
“Emison is going strong. They are reunited and loving each other hard,” she replied. “Plus they are great moms, raising their daughters to be strong women who are true to themselves and their identities.”
Ok, this is seriously the news we needed to hear!

For those who forgot Emily and Alison — played by Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse — had a special bond throughout the entire seven seasons of PLL, but it wasn’t until the show’s final season when the two started an official relationship. After Alison gave birth to Emily’s twins girls, named Grace and Lily, the two admitted their love for each other and became a family. Eventually, Alison proposed to Emily and they got married.
Two years after their marriage, Alison accepted a job at Beacon Heights University, where PLL: The Perfectionists was set. Throughout the show’s first and only season, viewers got an inside look at Alison and Emily’s struggling relationship. Although Alison seemingly signed the divorce papers and made their split official, it seems like the fictional couple is back on good terms. What made Alison and Emily get back together? Well, since PLL: The Perfectionists wasn’t renewed for a second season, we’ll never know. But at least Marlene is here to give periodic updates on all the PLL girls!
