'Pretty Little Liars' Cast Reunites And Shares On-Set Secrets

It’s been almost three full years since Pretty Little Liars came to its bittersweet end, but don’t worry, fans, because the cast is still super close! That’s right, the show’s creator, Marlene King, teamed up with Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Ian Harding, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish, Tyler Blackburn and Sasha Pieterse for a seriously epic virtual reunion on Friday, May 15. Not only did they dish on all things PLL, but their live-streamed video chat raised some money for a good cause, too. The show’s stars and the organization Cast 4 Good used the virtual reunion as an attempt to raise money for the current coronavirus pandemic!

They shipped #Haleb over #Spaleb.

OK, PLL viewers, remember that one storyline when Caleb and Spencer got together? Well, some of the cast was not a fan of those two characters being in a relationship! For example, Ashley admitted she “hated” seeing them together. Thankfully, Tyler reveled that he was “obviously a #Haleb shipper, as they say.” But Troian said she thought some of the show’s best scenes came from #Spaleb.

“I still feel like some of the scenes that came out of it — like that scene between me, Ashley, and Tyler — I think it’s one of my favorite scenes,” she explained. “I think it was just wonderful material and it was so exciting to open up those sides of our characters.”

The cast revealed the hardest scenes to film.

As it turned out, the show’s final episodes were actually the hardest for the cast. Yep, Marlene revealed that “it was hard to keep it together,” during the seriously emotional final moments in Rosewood. Even Troian remembered what it was like driving home after her last day on set.

“I remember getting in my car…and driving home from Warner Bros, and I was like, that’s the last time I’m going to drive home,” she said.

The finale’s twin scenes were filmed with another actress.

“I was sweating. I was so nervous. It was the most emotional thing for me…because it was the first time I was going to show people what I had been working on as far as a dialect and how I was going to bring Alex to life,” Troian dished, after explaining that she filmed the scenes alongside someone else. “And then as soon I was getting through all of that and basically sweating through every piece of clothing I had, we got to the scenes where we were saying goodbye, and then I was just a snotty mess of tears.”
