Get this, you guys, it’s officially been 10 years since Pretty Little Liars premiered on Freeform and, boy, do we feel old! That’s right, the fan-favorite series might have aired its first episode on June 8, 2010, but it feels like just yesterday that we were watching Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Sasha Pieterse, Ian Harding, Janel Parrish, Tyler Blackburn and Keegan Allen totally take over our TV screens!
To celebrate 10 amazing years, some of the show’s cast members took to Instagram and posted some seriously emotional tributes, and it brought on all the feels!
“Nothing would be the way it is right now for me, if this show hadn’t premiered a decade ago. I spent my entire 20s in Rosewood and I will be forever grateful for the last 10 years,” Shay captioned a series of snaps from the show
“HAPPY 10 YEARS OF PLL! This show changed my life. Eternally grateful and always proud of what we accomplished,” Lucy added in her own post.
“TEN YEARS AGO I love my PLL family,” Ashley posted on Instagram.
But that’s not all! Even the show’s creator, Marlene King, brought on all the nostalgia with her some words about the fan-favorite series.
“10 years! We will celebrate properly when the time is right for celebrating again. But for today, thank you to the little show that could for bringing us all together. And thank you @saracshepard for creating the world we all fell in love with,” she said.
For those who forgot, the show was based on a series of books of the same name by Sara Shepard and went on for seven epic seasons before the last episode aired in June 2017. Once the mystery of A was solved and the girls were finally all grown up, it was seriously the end of an era! Now, 10 years later, people are still talking about the show and the cast will seriously never forget it.
