When you’re going through a hard time, the best way to get through it is to lean on your besties, right? Well, that’s exactly what Selena Gomez is doing. The singer just returned from a two month stay at a rehabilitation center and now that she’s back, she’s getting support from her BFF Taylor Swift! The ladies shared a snap hanging out on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2019, and we were so happy to see them together again.
The girls were also joined by actress (and Pete Davidson‘s ex) Cazzie David, and it seriously looked like such a fun night! As J-14 readers know, the “Bad Liar” singer recently took a break from the spotlight to focus on her mental health after she reportedly suffered a series of panic attacks over her white blood cell count dropping.
But now, she’s back and she looks happier than ever — especially after reuniting with Taylor! In case you forgot, Tay and Selena met back in 2008 when they were both dating a Jonas Brother, and since then, they’ve been total friendship goals. From gushing over each other in interviews and even hitting the stage together, to wearing each other’s merch — they have proved time and time again they seriously always have each other’s backs.
“What I love about that friendship is it’s so solid, and with Taylor, I feel like they can tell each other anything, and it will be an honest, in-your-best-interest kind of relationship,” Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey, gushed to Entertainment Tonight about their friendship back in May. “It’s not about anything else, and it’s one you don’t just find out here.”
The girls have been BFFs for over 10 years which means that they truly grew up together. “[Taylor] is who she is, and that’s why she’s so grounded and, like, works so hard, and she’s always been there for Selena,” Mandy added. “They came up together, they just have never parted, so it’s really a true friendship.”
Ugh, we are living for their friendship.
