Australian fitness guru Kayla has set a lofty goal, and she’s using social media to achieve it while making bank in the process.

“I’m recognized as one of the most influential trainers in the world and I’ve made it my personal mission to help as many women as possible to achieve their ideal level of fitness and to feel more confident and happy,” the 28-year-old spelled out on her website, which advertises her SWEAT app downloaded by 30 million women who paid a collective $17 million for it in 2017 alone.

Kayla’s efforts to nurture the community she’s created are evident on her inspirational feeds — “Old ways won’t open new doors,” she pointed out in a recent tweet — and especially in her bank account. She and husband Tobi Pearce, who helped launch her Bikini Body Training Company brand, were reportedly worth a staggering $486 million in 2018.

Self-made millionaire Huda started out her meteoric rise to the top of the beauty world with a blog in 2010, but she really hit her stride when she “fell in love with Instagram” in 2012, the Iraqi-American has said. The following year, she started Huda Beauty with a line of false lashes and has since expanded her empire to include everything from lip liners to foundation. She’s been capitalizing on her popular makeup tutorial and tips videos posted to YouTube and her 39-million-strong Insta following ever since — helping to earn her an estimated personal net worth of $610 million. Surprisingly, she reportedly has never spent money on advertising, instead relying on the power of her social media influence. Part of the 36-year-old’s appeal is that she generally refuses to do paid posts in order to build trust with those who seek out her. But when she does agree to do sponsored content, she rakes in around $100,000 for each post.

“I realized that my purpose really is to inspire people,” Huda has said of her life as an entrepreneurial influencer. “It has nothing to do with money, it has nothing to do with anything material. It’s really to prove to people that the little guy can make it.”
