For the most part, fans of Netflix‘s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina are aware that the series is filmed in Canada. However, diehard fans of the comic-based series know that, actually, most of the show is filmed in a town called Cloverdale, which is located in Surrey, British Columbia. OMG, what?

That’s right, you guys! When filming for the show, the town of Cloverdale slowly but surely gets transformed into what we know as Greendale. And even though Greendale is a fictional place, it’s important to remember that much of what we see on screen are actual real-life locations in towns that people actually live in.

That’s right! Some of the hot spots that Sabrina, Harvey and so many others hit up frequently are actual places you can pin down on a map, and we can prove it to you! Let’s start with Baxter High School, shall we?

You might be surprised to know that Baxter High School isn’t a high school at all. In fact, it’s actually an elementary school. Their school scenes are shot at Lord Strathcona Elementary School, and with a quick Google Maps search, you’ll be able to see that they are, in fact, the same place. See?

Another place that we see a lot in the show is the movie theater, but a fun fact about the exterior movie theater scenes is that they were actually shot at a — wait for it — Gentlemen’s Club. Here’s what it looks like in the series:

Looks like a regular movie theater, right? Well, it’s not. Interestingly enough, though, they didn’t change the name of the place. IRL, it’s called the Paramount Gentlemen’s Club. How… awkward?

We can pretty much all agree that the characters’ favorite hangout spot is definitely Cerberus Books, and NGL, if we lived there it would be our fave spot too. If you’re a Riverdale fan, it can only be described as the equivalent to Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe. Seriously, look how cool it is!

Honestly, the Google Maps image looks pretty similar to what we see on screen, but before it was Cerberus Books, it was actually home to an electronics store and an antique shop. How interesting!

Speaking of hangout spots, you’re probably also wondering about the location from the second episode of Season One, where the guys from the football team are hanging around. If you need a refresher, here it is:

Turns out, that’s the Cypress Park Market in West Vancouver, and it actually looks very similar IRL to the way it appears in the series. Don’t believe us? Take a look.

Of course, we can’t forget Gehenna Station. For those of you who are unfamiliar, it’s an abandoned train station that was transformed into the Academy of Unseen Arts, and TBH, it’s very creepy.

In real life, you’ll be happy to know that Gehenna Station is just as creepy. It’s located along the train tracks like it is in the show, except now, it’s been turned into an art studio. How cool is that?

With so many forest scenes in just about every episode, you’re also probably wondering which forests they’re filming in. We mean, what if they’re shooting those scenes in your neck of the woods? Well, don’t worry, you guys. We’ve got answers.

The truth is, Sabrina isn’t filmed in just one forest. In fact, they film in several forests and natural reserves to get the beautiful shots you see on the show. To name a few, they typically in film in Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby, Belcarra Regional Park in Belcarra, Panther Paintball in Surrey and Redwood Park in South Surrey. In fact, Redwood Park is where the enchanted hanging tree is located. So cool!

As you can see, filming for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a bit all over the place, but as we mentioned earlier, it mostly happens in the town of Cloverdale. Can you even believe these iconic spots exist IRL? Personally, we’re shook by these discoveries, but most of all, we can’t wait for our next binge-watch so we can spot the filming locations for ourselves and impress all of our friends with this newfound knowledge.
