Well guys, we have the best news ever — Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is officially coming back for more! That’s right, the Netflix original series we all know and love is getting a second season, and we couldn’t be more excited. Get ready, witches. Here’s everything we know so far…

When does Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 2 premiere?

Mark your calendars, you guys, because Season 2 will premiere on April 5, 2019!

Have we gotten any looks at Season 2 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina so far?

On December 1, 2018, we got our first official look at Part 2. Netflix finally dropped a teaser, and we’re not going to lie, it looks spooky AF.

Netflix also shared the official poster for the second season on March 13, 2019, and boy, does it look like it’s going to be intense.

And on Monday, March 18, 2019, they finally dropped a full-length trailer!

The trailer shows Sabrina looking like she’s about to light her school on fire. OK, we’re wondering what the heck is going on too. Guess we’ll have to wait and see! It also shows her cozying up to Nick, doing a ton of magic and pretty much kicking butt. We can’t wait!

On April 2, 2019, they shared a second trailer, and TBH, it’s even creepier than the first one!

They filmed the first and second seasons back-to-back.

Get this — the cast is already done filming the second batch of episodes. Production for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina kicked off back in March of 2018, and they filmed the two seasons back-to-back. They clearly wasted no time at all — and we’re feeling blessed, tbh. Seeing as the original Netflix deal was 20 episodes (and Season 1 consists of half), the second season will also consist of ten episodes.

Will there be any new characters?

Yep, a few new characters are coming to Greendale! Not only will McKenna Grace play a young Kiernan Shipka, but Alexis Denisof and Jedidiah Goodacre will also be reoccurring characters. Alexis is starring as Adam Masters, Mary Wardwell’s “handsome and charming” boyfriend. As for Jedidiah he plays Dorian Gray, the owner of a nightclub called Dorian’s Gray Room.

Season 2 is heavy on the magic.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also created Riverdale, spilled that the series will be focusing a lot more on the witch life in the second season.

“A lot of Season 1 was Sabrina trying to stay in the mortal world, even as she kind of got deeper, further along the path [of Night]. She was always trying to keep one foot in the mortal world and that was sort of where her center of gravity was,” Roberto told E! News. “At the end of Season 1, what the ending seems to promise is that her base of operations has shifted. It’s now not that she goes to Baxter High and after school goes to the Academy, it’s now she goes to the Academy, and will she have any time [for the mortal world], and how much or how little will she relate to her previous mortal life is, I think, the question that we end on.”

Kiernan also explained that the lines between the mortal world and the magical world may become blurred this season.

“Clearly, [the two worlds are] still really far apart, but they just feel an inch closer, which, I think, just sort of adds a bit of tension and a bit of excitement to the whole thing,” she explained to Den of Geek. “Obviously, now that Sabrina’s friends know that she’s a witch and they’re not about to be killed, they can talk about it more. It’s more of a chill environment, in that regard.”

Sabrina and Harvey’s relationship is up in the air.

As fans know, Season 1 ended with Sabrina and Harvey unfortunately splitting up. And based off the trailers, it looks like there is going to be a major love triangle between Sabrina, Harvey and Nicholas.

“I am really torn because I love Sabrina and Harvey together but I’m really intrigued by Nick and Sabrina being together,” the showrunner spilled. “I really like that they’re so different. I hope that Harvey and Sabrina have a chance. I mean they’re definitely endgame in the comics. Yeah, their story is not quite done, I wouldn’t say.”

But Kiernan explained that Sabrina will always have a place in her heart for Harvey.

“I think, to a certain extent, there’s that love that’s always going to be there,” she told Collider. “I do think that she is torn up and I do think that she is a little broken. But I think that Sabrina’s a fixer. She likes to fix things, so she doesn’t want the relationship to be awkward. She wants the relationship to be whatever it is. So, I don’t think we’re going to see them as enemies, but I think we’re gonna see a very different Harvey and Sabrina and in the second season just because both of them have grown so much and lost people and gained things.”

But as much as she loves Harvey, the actress explained that Sabrina wants to explore her relationship with Nick.

“I think obviously Sabrina has this love for Harvey that will never go away. But at the same time, she’s a young girl and she wants to have fun and Nick is hot and awesome and she loves him in many ways,” she continued. “I think that they’re really fun partners in crime in the second season, without delving too far into exactly sort of what they develop into. I think that Sabrina needs a warlock in the second season to help her get done a lot of the things that she needs to get done. She does most of the things on her own anyway, but her support system is largely coming from the witch side in the second season. And I think Nick is one of the few witches or warlocks that believes in her and that has her back, and that doesn’t look down on her and think less of her.”

Season 2 is going to be way more twisted than Season 1.

Kiernan also dished all about Season 2 to Girlfriend, saying, “I would say that it’s fiercer, the stakes are higher, the relationships are more charged and overall it’s this bigger, better, scarier season! The first season was the introduction to everything but this second season is really twisted and a lot more lives are in danger.”

The best part? The actress says we’ll pretty much be freaking TF out from start to finish.

“You’ll be on the edge of your seat the whole time,” she said. “There were scenes we were filming where people would say, ‘Do you think I’m going to make it out alive this season!?’ and they were big characters we’re talking about! So it’s really intense but its a really fun watch.”

The blonde beauty also revealed that Sabrina is totally ready to embrace her dark side.

“I just think she’s embracing it personally. I think that her duality is strong. I think there’s a strong part of her that’s mortal, but I do think that there’s that dark side in her and playing with that has been super fun,” she told Collider. “I think she’s really excited about it right now. She’s pumped on it.”

Things get steamier.

“In Season 1, as adorable as they are, there’s a real refreshing innocence to Harvey and Sabrina. I think in Season 2, when Sabrina’s spending a lot more time with the witch academy, we do start learning that witches have a very different point of view about sexuality and monogamy and being polyamorous and not being defined by labels,” Roberto told E! News. “That’s not just going to be backdrop. That’s going to be story that we tell.”

OK, now brb – watching all of Season 1 on repeat until we get new episodes.
